Sustainability on the High Seas

Shipping is a vital branch of transportation. Over 80% of goods are transported by oversea freight. Marine transport is responsible for approximately 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions, but it is the most fuel-efficient method of transport, with the lowest CO2 emissions per ton of cargo transported per kilometer. Hence, it is foreseen to expand in the future.

IMO, the main regulatory maritime body, has set a strategic plan with ambitious emissions targets for the year 2050. This can only be achieved by combining different measures to significantly reduce emissions.

This event brings together experts who will enable us to look closer at the current status of the marine market and think about future solutions needed to meet global targets, including presentations of ADVANCEFUEL results.
